Tony Parsonsin jännäritrilogian toisessa osassa Max Wolfe selvittää sarjamurhaajan touhuja, ja joutuu itse iskun jos toisenkin kohteeksi: The slaughter man (Century, 2015; ISBN 978-1-780-89235-1).
Romaanin juoni kulkee melko lailla samantyylisesti kuin trilogian ensimmäinen osa, mutta rutiininomaisuudesta huolimatta Parsons onnistuu paikoitellen koukuttamaan lukijaa aika lailla. Toisaalta saman kaltaista jännäriä löytyy kirjastosta hyllykaupalla, mitenkään omaperäiseksi pakettia ei voi kehua. Mutta epäilemättä luen trilogian viimeisenkin osan, heti kun sen kirjastosta käsiini saan.
