Täytyy myöntää että jäin sarjakuvakirjoihin jossain määrin koukkuun, ja pakko nämä on lukea kaikki läpi, tämän kolmannen ketjun loputkin teokset, siinä määrin paljon kysymyksiä tämä avausosa herättää.

After the failure of the Betelgeuse colonisation mission, Kim is back on Earth, where she is an increasingly popular figure. Meanwhile, advance scouts on planet Antares have witnessed some distressingly strange events. Worried about the future of this new mission, the sponsors of the Antares project call upon Kim to accompany the first colonists, offering legal amnesty for Alexa and Mark in exchange. Leon tieteissarjakuvissa on aika paljon samojen teemojen toistoa, mutta toisaalta piirrosjälki on hyvää ja kieltämättä mielikuvitusta on tekijälle riittänyt.

A wounded Kim has been rescued by Hector, but they are stuck inside the planet’s vast network of caves. Steve and Inge leave the expedition behind to look for them. All of them make their way through multiple, winding tunnels, trying to avoid particularly hostile and dangerous fauna in order to meet up. Leo: Betelgeuse 1 - The survivors

Leo jatkaa Aldebaran-tieteissarjakuvaansa teoksella joka sijoittuu toiseen planeettakuntaan: Betelgeuse 1 - The survivors (Cinebook, 2009; käännös englanniksi Luke Spear; ISBN 978-1-84918-004-7).



Teossarjan osien lukujärjestys aiheutti päänvaivaa, mutta olettaisin että tämä kirjasarja on järkevintä lukea Aldebaran-teosten jälkeen, vaikka toki olen väärässä. Yllätyksiä on luvassa, vaikka toki ensimmäisen kirjasarjan jälkeen osaa jo aavistaa mitä kaikkea voisi arvoitusten taakse piiloutua.

Mark and Kim are sent to Betelgeuse to look for survivors of the spacecraft crash that killed 3,000 people seven years earlier. They do find survivors, among them Tazio Menegaz and Colonel Logan, who tell them the colonisers had been divided over whether the Lums (indigenous creatures) are as intelligent as humans. If they are, the humans would have been forced to abandon their colonising enterprise according to UN laws. Kim decides to investigate for herself.

Leo: La créature

Leon Aldebaran-tieteissarjakuvan viidettä (ja tämän osan viimeistä) teosta ei löytynyt kirjastosta englanniksi käännettynä, mutta löytyi kuitenkin alkuperäinen ranskankielinen versio, vieläpä kovakantisena: La créature (Dargaud, 1998; ISBN 2-205-04761-2).



Ranskan taitoni on olematon, mutta jotain sentään sain tekstistä selvää, ja luonnollisesti piirrokset auttoivat ymmärtämisessä. Tästä voi joka tapauksessa jatkaa sarjakuvakirjojen lukemista eteenpäin.
