Freya North tarjoilee viihteellisen ihmissuhdetarinan, jossa kaksi elämässään pettynyttä ihmistä kohtaavat ja tuntevat vetoa toisiinsa: Chances (Harper, 2011; ISBN 978-0-00-732666-2).
Kirjan tarina tuntuu melkoisen laskelmoidulta, mutta paikka paikoin tuntui tarinassa olevan lämmintä välittämisen tunnettakin, vaikka makeaa kuorrutusta olikin kyllin kyllin. Parisuhdeongelmista löytyy kirjasta monenmoista takkua, enkä nyt tiedä onko kirjassa mitään mitä voisi sanoa siitä voivansa oppia, mutta keveydestään huolimatta jonkinlainen tunne ihmisyyden ymmärryksestä tekstistä kuulsi läpi.
